This is a fine tribute that closely echos my own sentiments. I didn’t know John well either, but we had similar interactions at book fairs. I too admired his decisive judgement and the uncompromising originality of his taste. Here’s to keeping that adventuresome spirit alive and well book trade. Thanks Brian.
